Where are your products manufactured?
All the projects produced at Open Door Furniture are hand crafted by our team in San Diego, California.
Do you ship?
Furniture that is built for a client in greater San Diego or South LA will be delivered personally by our team. If the client lives outside of this region, their furniture or cabinetry will be shipped using a shipping broker. We have shipping brokers we work with; however the client is free to provide their own broker if they so desire.
Do you deliver internationally?
We are willing to ship conference tables internationally but at present we are not shipping furniture to overseas markets.
Do you practice sustainability?
Sustainability is one of our core values and we practice it in two ways. First, we use sustainable hardwoods. Secondly, we build high quality furniture that can last and be handed down, giving it a very long working life before it reaches a landfill. It is our desire as builders that the furniture we build will outlive us.
Do you offer a warranty?
Since 2015 we have had three calls to come and fix something related to our completed projects, all of which we have honored even when it was not our fault. If you have any problem with furniture you have purchased from us, please call us and we will work with you to find a solution. We do not offer a general warranty our furniture, but we stand behind our products.
Do you offer instillation?
We offer instillation on our products on a fee basis dependent on the scope of work and location. We are willing to travel long distances to install furniture (and that is our preferred option) but we understand that it is sometimes in the best financial interest of our client to have their furniture or cabinets installed by a third party.
Do you do Custom Metal Work?
Around 40% of the projects that come out of our shop have some sort of metal component(s). Often this is for long term stability, but sometimes it is made to add aesthetic value. If your design includes a metal element, we will work with you to help bring your vision to life.
What style do you build in?
As a custom furniture shop our goal is to build in the style that fits best in your home or office. We build in a variety of design traditions and have acquired a diverse set of finishing techniques in order to give you a product that best fits your vision. We will do everything we can to accommodate your design goals.
